why open source
we want to make xmind's code available for eclipse-based projects and eclipse plug-in developers to incorporate visual brainstorming and mind mapping capabilities in their applications, or just to export their data to an xmind mind map file. we also welcome the development of plug-ins for xmind itself, and we provide extension points for developers to facilitate the development process. overall we believe many synergies will evolve from the use of xmind by third party developers.
